# PMO Build Roadmap

## 1. Intake and triage
Build the first portal that captures demand in one place. Keep the first version small: request type, business unit, sponsor, problem, benefit, complexity, risk, and decision.

## 2. Charter approval
Create a charter record from approved intake. Add scope, out of scope, objectives, success measures, assumptions, dependencies, and sponsor approval.

## 3. Stage gates
Define standard lifecycle stages and gate criteria. Generate criteria checklists for each project stage and require evidence before approval.

## 4. Change, risk, and issue control
Add operational controls once projects are moving. Track owners, due dates, severity, decisions, escalations, and closure evidence.

## 5. Communications and reporting
Create status update records, milestone tracking, and Power BI report pages for executives and delivery teams.

Start with SharePoint for speed if your team is small. Choose Dataverse when you need stronger role security, relationships, audit, environment strategy, or managed solution deployment.
